Pentas Karyawan won Second Place in Pesta Pantun 2012

Our jovial students who were clad in traditional costumes stood up in ambivalence as the emcees started to mention the third placing. Even the red supporters were preparing to comfort each other.

Lacking in confidence was not the reason in the Pantun Team from Pentas Karyawan but the comments received from judges dashed their motivation. Flabbergasted - the perfect word when the judges mentioned that Republic Polytechnic won the second placing in the inaugural Pesta Pantun Competition.

That is not the end of the good news. Our very own student, Nur’Amirah Binte Yahya has clinched the ‘Pemantun Terbaik’ (Best Poet) in the competition.

‘Nothing is impossible,’ This tagline from Adidas will now be inculcated in every member from Pentas Karyawan. They are now aware that goals will be achieved with assiduity and determination. The seniors of Pentas Karyawan were proud of the achievement and hope that the next batch will continue to uphold this reputation in the next Pesta Pantun.

What seemed like an impossible competition against the opponents, are now just minions.

Republic Polytechnic defeated Millienia Institute (MI) and Innova Junior College (IJC) in the Semi-finals of Pesta Pantun 2012 that was held on last Saturday, 3rd March 2012.

All the supporters and contestants were like cats on a hot brick and surplus amount of anxiety engulfed their being. Seconds after what seemed to be hours, the organizer called out,
"Republic Polytechnic!" Sudden uproar of cheers and screams of euphoria filled the entire auditorium. Hugs were shared and words of congratulations were shared, fostering tighter camaraderie.

Nevertheless, the true triumph has yet to be achieved.

RP's MCG will be facing Anderson Junior College and Madrasah Wak Tanjung in the Finals of Pesta Pantun on 11th March 2012. Support our team members by giving them words of encouragement by commenting below or write on our Facebook; Rp Malayculturalgroup.
